There are so many treatments available for acne scars. Here are some brief descriptions about some of the best ones.
•Dermabrasion treatment: It is the best available treatment for shallow imperfections. Its approximate cost is $1500 per treatment.
•Hormonal treatments: This treatment is mostly used for females who are affected by acne. Dermatologist can inject cortisone for reducing inflammation and dark redness, if the pimple is not reduced by another treatment. As a side effect, it may cause temporary skin whitening or small depression.
•Saline injections: It is the most effective treatment for small scars but ineffective for ‘boxcar’ or ‘ice pick’ scars. Costs are about $100 per injection and generally 4 to 5 treatments are needed.
•Sulphur drugs: It is the oldest anti-acne treatment available in recent years. Mostly used by Chinese, Greeks and Romans. It is useful in both mild antiseptic and micro-exfoliate cases. It maintains the acidity or PH value and
prevents breakouts and acne scars. Keratin in which the sulphur part is mostly present is useful in spreading collagen synthesis.
•Punch techniques: The agree ability and affordability says that it very useful in ice picks scars and it depends how much you needed and it costs $50 per punch.
•Subcision: It is used for most kinds of acne scars. As per doctor prescription, the dose is required.
•Laser treatment: The fastest way of curing acne-scars is done by laser treatments. It burns the hair growing sac and oil producing sebaceous gland during the treatment. It causes black-spot and also dryness of the skin.
